Wildflower Swing Top and Dress Tester Round-up

Ready to swing into fall? Or spring for our friends in the southern hemisphere. Whatever the season, Wildflower is ready for it! The Wildflower Top and Dress has both regular and FBA bodices, all the sleeve lengths, multiple hem lengths, AND three necklines. I love an in-depth, complicated sew, but sometimes, you just want to put together a cute dress that you can wear that afternoon!

I made this one for a company picnic. Mine is the above knee length size 8 in a modal fabric that has great drape and 'swing'. It's a tad shorter than it should be because I'm quite tall and made no adjustments to the length. Great thing about sewing...you can make up your own hem lengths.

Ready to dive in? Sizes are (more or less) in order so that you can find what you are looking for. Many, many people need to grade their patterns to fit their body, so the sizing is based upon the full bust measurement (there is a FBA bodice available!).

Sarah: Size 2 with a DBP fabric.

Lindsay: Size 2 in a DBP fabric.

Michele: Size 4 with an ITY fabric for the top, and modal for the dress.

Josianne: Size 4FBA in a poly blend fabric.

Mara: Size 4 in a bamboo Lycra.

Donna: Size 6FBA in an ITY fabric.

Michelle: Size 6 in an ITY fabric.

Sophie: Size 8 in a viscose jersey fabric.

Andrea: Size 8 in a brushed ITY fabric.

Kelsey: Size 8 in a DBP fabric.

June: Size 8FBA in DBP (both dresses!)

Donna: Size 10 in a spun poly fabric.

Pamela: Size 10FBA in an ITY fabric (with and without a belt styling).

Becky: Size 10FBA in a jersey cotton (green tops) and a ribbed knit (gray top).

Camille: Size 10 in a rayon Lycra fabric.

Jessica: Size 10 in a cotton lycra.

Laura: Size 12 in a cotton lycra (striped top) and DBP (floral top). Laura made hers in two very different fabrics so that you can clearly see how the more structured cotton lycra stands out away from her body, while the DBP drapes.
