It's so fast and simple that my 7 year old (she used canvas and quilting cotton for the handles) and 10 year old (she used flannel and quilting cotton for the handles) made their own one afternoon. My oldest daughter even made one and this was her first time ever using a sewing machine. She used canvas and webbing for the handles. So, three of my four girls absolutely crushed this pattern test!! 
This bag is perfect for an everyday bag for all your odds and ends. It's also a really quick sew. Additionally, there's a video tutorial here:
