The Cypress Dolman Sweatshirt and Dress is live! Deep into December in the Pacific Northwest, it is cold and damp. Like, really damp. This is the time of year you will rarely see me out of sweats and sweaters. This pattern started out as a fairly straightforward sweatshirt/sweater pattern. Mine here is in a heavy chenille sweater knit in a size 8.
I hadn't intended to get this tested until next year with December being such a busy month for most people. I'm so happy I put out feelers and got quite a few people needing their own cozy! The pattern then evolved into adding a dress length. Adding that length turned out so perfect because now you can get a little dressy AND stay warm.
1. Jenni shows us exactly how to rock that look here at her party! This size 8/12 sweater dress look fabulous with Foxglove Leggings and a pair of boots.

2. Donna
We also added in a cowl turtleneck for extra warmth! Donna made a classic long sleeve top in a size 6 floral DBP. Then took it to the next level with a dress using the cowl turtleneck in a french terry.
3. Carolyn
Of course, from there, we needed a pocket to complete the trifecta! I thought it might look silly in the longer lengths, but it turned out to be just the ticket! Carolyn shows off her pocket here in a size 20 sweater knit.
4. Michelle
Once we got all of those extra options in place, it was on like donkey kong! Michelle made three in a size 6 with all different fabrics. The first is in the sweetest cotton spandex with hood and pocket.
Then we have two different versions of the cowl turtleneck. I LOVE this because it shows what kind of difference fabric makes! In the left image, Michelle used a drapey jersey knit for the dress length. In the right image, she used a structured polar tec! You can see how the cowl turtleneck stays much closer to the neck rather than draping around the neckline.

4. Margie
Margie made two sweatshirts in a size 12 using french terry (left) and a sherpa french terry (right). I adore sherpa. Not sewing it, but wearing it? Heck yeah!
5. Rachel
I love, love LOVE this colorblocked Polartec fleece Rachel made in a size 6. It's a great blend of style and functionality! And a really cute pupper to boot!

6. Tiffany
Tiffany has got the transition look down with this lightweight french terry sweatshirt in a size 14. Tiffany pretested for me, and last month, we were still randomly getting warmer days. This is such a cute top to pull on for extra warmth!
7. Jessica
Jessica made this totally awesome size 12 combo of red floral DBP with velvet corduroy sleeves! Then went on and made some capri Foxgloves to complete the look. I really want to know where I can find that velvet corduroy. It sounds magical.

8. Amy
Amy made this size 10 quintessential holiday look with a buffalo plaid sweater knit. The red and black is so classic!
9. Amy
Amy did an incredible job on her three size 22 makes. First, she made a simple and stylish stripe/solid combo with sweater knit.
Then, she followed it up with a gorgeous tunic in DBP with the cowl turtleneck.
Finally, she finished it up with this totally awesome hoodie in cotton spandex. Just look at the image placement on that hood!
